How long is a City Treasures tour and what is the cost?
That depends on what you want to do, the number of people in your group and the time you have available.
Small groups of up to 10 or 12 work best. This means everyone can hear, getting about is easier and it also gives people a chance to ask questions during the tour. We're happy to work with larger groups, particularly for special events.
Can you organise ameal after our tour?
We always end our tours in area where you’ll find lots of options forrestaurants, bars and cafes. With the exception of some Special Occasion tours, we don't make bookings, but we're happy to offer a few suggestions for places you mightwant to try.
Are entrance fees, transport an refreshments included?
You will need to cover any entrance fees or travel costs (for example if you choose to visit St Paul's Cathedral or the Tower of London or if we use public transport or taxis). We will give you an indication of these costs before you book. With the exception of some Special Occasion and London Garden tours, refreshments are not included.
When do your tours run?
Tours run within three time slots: in the morning up to 1pm, in the afternoon between 1pm and 6pm and in the evening from 6pm onwards.
Are your tours suitable for children?
We are always happy to welcome children as part of a family group, but please be aware that many of our tours include a fair amount of walking and are best suited to children aged 8 or over. For details of tours designed especially for young butterfly minds, please see our Young Explorer Tours.

- A quickdip tour lasts around 45 minutes to 1 hour, costs from £175 per group and is ideal for getting peopletogether before a meal or an evening event.
- A focustour takes a more leisurely 1½ to 2 hours and costs from £195 per group. Focus tours aregreat for family groups celebrating a birthday, friends marking a special eventor colleagues looking to do something slightly different as a teamget-together.
- A halfday adventure takes around 3 hours and costs from £240 per group - perfect for visitors wanting toexplore London and for young explorer tours and children’s adventures.
- Full daytours last around 6 to 7 hours, including leisurely breaks.

Booking
You can make your booking by email and secure an agreed date and time for your tour by paying a £50 non-refundable deposit. Once payment has been received your booking is confirmed.
Payment
On confirmation you will be invoiced and can pay securely by bank transfer. You are also able to pay by PayPal, in which case you will need to cover the PayPal charges over and above the cost of the tour. Payment should be received by City Treasures in full 3 weeks before the tour.
Cancellation
Cancellation charges are as follows:

- Cancellation up to 21 days before the tour - loss of £50 deposit
- Cancellation up to 7 days before the tour – loss of 50% of agreed fee
- Cancellation within 7 days of the tour – loss of the full fee
What if it rains?
Tours run whatever the weather. Please come prepared for all seasons. We always have a couple of stylish plastic ponchos on hand, just in case. Comfortable shoes are also a must.
Are you insured?
Yes. Our guides are covered by public liability insurance up to £5 million. However, tour participants are responsible for their own safety during the tour and take part at their own risk.
